Dixie Chicks lead singer Natalie Maines is changing up a few things in her life.
The 42-year-old country songstress, who until recently sported her ex-husband’s initials on her big toe, has now covered up the letters with new ink.
Natalie took to Instagram to show fans “before” and “after” pictures of the artwork that she had done.
As you can see in the Oct. 2 shot below, the initials of Natalie’s former husband, “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D” actor Adrian Pasdar, were inked on her skin. The couple split earlier this year after 17 years of marriage. Natalie and Adrian share two sons, 16-year-old Jackson Slade and 13-year-old Beckett Finn.
“Say boy bye to the AP,” she simply writes.
A second shot of the “Goodbye Earl” singer’s foot shows an entirely new design in the same area where the initials had been located.
Though Natalie didn’t share details about the fresh display, the neutral color artwork looks a lot like a “bassnectar” symbol.
“It’s done. It was horrible, but I love it,” Natalie writes. “FYI, never get a tattoo on a toe. It’s the most painful place to get a tattoo, just the worst. But … it was totally worth it.”
So, what do you think of her new ink?
