Sherry Pollex is in the fight of her life. The longtime girlfriend of NASCAR hotshot Martin Truex Jr., finds herself battling the ugly disease of cancer with all her might. “This is what Stage 3C ovarian cancer looks like,” she wrote in an Instagram post alongside a picture of her mid-section and all of its scars and wounds. “A complicated zigzag of cuts and holes where they’ve tried to surgically cut out every organ I’ve had that’s been affected by this terrible disease,” she wrote. “I was trying to count this morning, and I think I’ve lost five organs to date. Spent over 300 hours in an infusion room taking in poison trying to rid my body from this beast inside me. I’m about to go to battle with the drugs again, for six more months. But I’m ready.”
