Things just got a tad more odd on August 3 in the case against “The Dukes of Hazzard” star Tom Wopat.

The 65-year-old actor, who was in Massachusetts rehearsing to appear in the musical “42nd Street,” was arrested August 2 and accused of touching a woman inappropriately back on July 23. Appearing in court on August 3, Tom pleaded not guilty to “grabbing the buttocks of a female member of the cast of a musical he was supposed to appear in,” according to the Associated Press. He was charged with indecent assault and battery, as well as drug possession.

Known best for playing Luke Duke in the 1980s television show, the Tony Award-nominated actor denied the assault charges, saying that he “flirts” but denying touching anyone inappropriately. He was released on $1,000 bail and told to stay away from the woman for the time being.

However, it was the details on the drug charges that just might raise even more eyebrows. Police found “two bags of white powder believed to be cocaine” when they searched him and his vehicle during the arrest, AP reports. According to court documents, Tom reportedly told police that he buys cocaine “in large quantities and uses it over time.”

Understandably, Tom was also informed that he would no longer be performing in the musical, which was set to open the day after his arrest at the Reagle Music Theatre of Greater Boston. A different actor is now playing the role.
