Miranda Lambert has developed a soft spot for animals — especially dogs. So, it’s no surprise that she owns seven of them.
Nope. We’re not kidding y’all!
Due to her busy lifestyle, the country superstar sometimes brings her pets out on the road with her, but there’s one four-legged friend who’s missing from the pack — her first rescue puppy, Delilah.
Miranda opened up about the beloved pup during an interview with nationally-syndicated NASH-FM morning show, “Ty, Kelly and Chuck,” on July 25. She says the dog now belongs to her grandmother.
“Delilah is my actual first dog,” Miranda explained. “My grandma literally stole her though. I was on the phone with my grandma this morning and she was telling me all about my dog, but it’s her dog now. [Delilah] retired from the road. So, my grandma would keep her and she just never gave her back.”
Perhaps Miranda’s grandma’s sneaky move was a blessing in disguise for Miranda, since she has plenty of other pets to care for. Not only does the “Tin Man” singer own seven dogs, but she also has horses and cats.
“It’s five horses, two mini horses, seven dogs and four rescue kitties,” Miranda clarified about brood. “Eighteen. It’s my new lucky number.”
Unfortunately though, Miranda can’t maneuver all of her furry friends into her tour bus. So, she makes up for it the only way she knows how.
“I have my ponies painted on the side of my bus, airbrushed old-school style. So they kind of go with me,” she said.
