Hours after most of the country had gone to bed to prepare for the week ahead, country superstar Miranda Lambert was on Instagram in the morning hours of Oct. 3, enjoying a fire and reflecting on the time she has taken off in recent weeks.
Of course, by most accounts, Miranda has stayed busy with the release of her new album’s cover art, the video for her current single and her participation in the wildly popular ‘Forever Country.”
But, in fact, it sounds as if some of her downtime has been spent getting inspired, whether through music or the love of family and friends.
After referring to a line of an old Ronnie Milsap song that says “she keeps the home fires burning,” Miranda shared “After a few weeks of down time and in my road- weary haze after tour, I’ve been able to sit back and get inspired.”
" She keeps the home fires burning" – Ronnie Milsap After a few weeks of down time and in my road- weary haze after tour, I've been able to sit back and get inspired. I saw @johnmoreland at @americanafest in Nashville, @andersoneast and @lakestreetdive at the @chicagotheatre , attended the @pilgrimagefestival in Franklin TN, preordered my friend @brent_cobb album "Shine On Rainy Day" (it's amazing and will be released Oct 7) …had beers with my friend @aubriesellers in Texas, worked out to @britneyspears "Work Bitch", obsessed over Lemonade… AGAIN! @beyonce . And above all…I got to celebrate with my Nonny (mom's mom) on her 80th bday with her and 14 of her best gal pals. All over 65 and full of life, love, and stories that can't be repeated! (Or shouldn't be on social media for sure😁) needless to say…What a life. Thanks music. IOU several…🍻🍷🎂💗👏🦄#keeperoftheflame #allworkallplay #musicismedicine #theweightofthesewings #tourlifestyle #downtimeatwork #windycity #namedropping #grandmasandguitars #anchor⚓️
The country superstar than rattled off a number of concerts she has been spending time going to, from John Moreland at Americanafest to her boyfriend Anderson East in Chicago. She went on to say that she had beers with her friend Aubrie Sellers, worked out to Britney Spears and obsessed over Beyoncé.
“And above all,” she continued, “I got to celebrate with my Nonny (mom’s mom) on her 80th bday with her and 14 of her best gal pals. All over 65 and full of life, love, and stories that can’t be repeated! (Or shouldn’t be on social media for sure) needless to say…What a life. Thanks music.”
