Miranda Lambert took a break from carving the turkey on Nov. 24, to perform in front of thousands of fans during CBS’ holiday coverage of the annual Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City.

The country music superstar sang two catchy tracks from her double album titled, “Weight of These Wings.” They were, “Highway Vagabond” and “We Should Be Friends.”

During her performance of “Highway Vagabond” Miranda, who recently celebrated her 33rd birthday, appeared in front of a festive, autumn backdrop. She swayed back-and-forth in a fashionable dress paired with knee-high boots, and crooned out the carefree lyrics, “I wanna go somewhere nobody knows/ I wanna know somewhere nobody goes.”

Kevin Frazier of “Entertainment Tonight” and Keltie Knight of “The Insider” served as hosts during the three-hour CBS special, which began at 9:00 a.m. and ended at 12:00 p.m. ET. This year, the live broadcast also featured select highlights from the parade, performances by Sting, and the casts of Broadway musicals “The Color Purple,” “On Your Feet!” and “School of Rock.”
