Loretta Lynn has remained on the minds of country music fans everywhere since news came out about her May 4 stroke. While she was in rehab recovering, we wondered what was ahead for “The Coal Miner’s Daughter.”
And now we know. She is home!
“Thank you so much for all of your prayers, love and support,” Loretta wrote on her Facebook page on July 12. “I’m happy to say that I’m at home with my family and getting better by the day! My main focus now is making a full recovery so that I can get back to putting all of me into what I love, sharing my music with all of you.”
One of the best pieces of news was that Loretta is not only working on her recovery, but also has plans to continue working on music.
“My new album, ‘Wouldn’t It Be Great,’ was originally scheduled to come in August this year,” Loretta wrote in the Facebook post. “I now want to wait to release it [until] next year because this record is so special for me. It deserves me at my best, and I can’t wait to share it.”
The Tennessean is reporting that Loretta has also canceled all of her remaining tour dates in 2017. And while that news will be sad for some, we’re thrilled to see that she is still showing off her feisty side.
“I want to thank everyone for hanging in there with me,” Loretta wrote. “I am getting stronger every day and can’t wait to get back out there with all of you. I’m just letting everybody know that Willie ain’t dead yet and neither am I, and I can’t wait to see all of you on the road!”
