There is nothing like the pomp and circumstance of the Kentucky Derby. The beauty of its surroundings and the splendor of the race itself is enough to take one’s breath away.

Yet, leave it to country trio Lady Antebellum for taking the May 7 race to a whole new level with their rendition of the National Anthem, which they performed beautifully before the running of the 142nd Kentucky Derby. Looking gorgeous despite singing through torrential rains, Charles Kelley, Hillary Scott and Dave Haywood treated the near to capacity crowd to yet another wonderful rendition of The Star Spangled Banner.
