It’s been 15 years since Kelly Clarkson took the crown as the first ever “American Idol.” But she hasn’t forgotten the many moments that brought her to where she is today.

Fans may recall the 35-year-old Grammy winner, who released her eighth studio album, “Meaning of Life” on Oct. 27, once co-starred in a widely-panned film called “From Justin to Kelly,” released shortly after her “Idol” win.

Turns out that she was contractually obligated to star in that film, and wasn’t too thrilled about actually seeing it released. So, she relied on a little bit of liquid courage to get through the first showing.

“I got very drunk at that premiere,” Kelly tells Sirius XM’s Howard Stern, after admitting that she had only seen the musical once, and only then because she was forced to watch it. Afterwards, she said, “I literally ended up in a fountain soaked. I was real hammered.”

Justin Guarini, who co-starred alongside Kelly in the film, took second place during the first season of “American Idol.” After the show, rumors swirled that he and the “Love So Soft” singer were an item. Kelly has since confessed that the two actually were romantically involved for a short period of time.

“We were really good friends,” she said. “I think it was so heightened, so by the time everybody stopped talking about it we actually did date.”

These days, Kelly is happily married to husband Brandon Blackstock, and the couple are proud parents to 1-year-old son Remington Alexander, and 3-year-old daughter River Rose. Kelly is also stepmom to Brandon’s two older kids, Savannah, and Seth.
