Kane Brown and Lauren Alaina just got the best news ever.

You may remember that earlier this year Sam Hunt made country music history when his smash, “Body Like A Back Road,” topped the “Billboard” Hot Country Songs chart for a record 34 weeks—basically nearly all of 2017.

Well, now it’s time for Sam to step down, because Kane and Lauren have officially knocked him out of the top spot with their duet, “What Ifs.”

This is a big, big deal for multiple reasons.

For starters, it’s a first for both of them, reaching No. 1 on this chart, which combines streaming, radio airplay and sales data to determine who is tops.

Secondly, it means Lauren is now the first woman to sit at the top of this chart all year. The last lady to do so was pop rocker Pink back in November of 2016 as part of Kenny Chesney’s “Setting The World On Fire.” Kelsea Ballerini dominated the chart in September and October of 2016 for two weeks with “Peter Pan.”

What makes this so sweet is that Kane and Lauren are childhood friends, now getting to live out their dreams together. And they even earned some praise from Keith Urban!

When he heard the great news, Kane told “Billboard,” “All I can say is 34 weeks, Sam Hunt? Damn. I’m happy to get in there.”

You did it, Kane. You and Lauren did it, and you both should be so proud. Where should we send the bottle of champagne?
