Actress and country music singer Jana Kramer has been outspoken about her love life in recent years. So, it only makes sense that she would release a song on a subject that is meaningful to her.
In a brand new single called “I’ve Done Love,” the 33-year-old beauty compares a love addiction to a drug and alcohol addiction. Though she sings about how she’s never felt “the sting of a needle,” she lets fans know that she’s no stranger to feeling pain.
“I’ve taken hits, woke up hungover / Gone on benders, stone-cold sober / Slammed the door right off the hinges / Hotel rooms and midnight binges / Risked my life, had too much of things I swore I’d never touch / So don’t tell me I’ve never done the hard stuff / ‘Cause I’ve done love,” Jana sings in the song penned by Nashville writers Josh Osborne, Nicolle Galyon and Shane McAnally.
Like many others, Jana has had her fair share of rocky romances. In 2016, she opened up about the domestic abuse she endured while married to her first husband, the late Michael Gambino. Although not a fairy tale ending, she is thought to be currently working through her separation with estranged third husband Mike Caussin, with whom she shares 16-month-old daughter Jolie Rae.
Whether or not Jana and Mike unite as one again, she remains hopeful of finding someone who is worthy of her love.
“Even though I don’t have my ‘the one,’ there’s still hope for that,” she previously told US magazine.
“I’ve Done Love” is Jana’s first independent release since her 2015 album, “Thirty One.” Hear her sing the song in the video above, and let us know what you think.
