Some people say that animals can help ease emotional pain. That is something the country music world could use right about now.

It was less than a wees ago, on Oct. 1, that the country community lost 58 people after a gunman opened fire on Route 91 Harvest Festival concertgoers from the window of his Mandalay Bay Hotel room in Las Vegas.

Some of those innocent victims were mothers, fathers, nurses, students, teachers, construction workers, artists, police officers and the list goes on.

While our hearts are still heavy over the lives that were lost in the Vegas massacre, it seems one star is helping put a smile back on our faces.

Justin Moore took to Twitter with an adorable video of his daughter, Ella Kole, sharing a moment with the family’s Great Dane dog, Johnny. The two appear to be practicing a handshake.

“Johnny … Ella. Ella … Johnny. Haha,” Justin tweeted, alongside the clip that shows a pint-sized darling who is dwarfed by her four-legged companion. Despite the difference in size, little Ella is not afraid to grab her pal’s paw, as he is a gentle giant.

After their cute exchange, Ella planted a kiss or two on the pooch’s nose. How sweet!

No, we cannot change the horrific event that took place at this year’s Route 91 Harvest Festival, but we can hope that this moment between Ella and Johnny brought some sort of light back into your hearts. #VegasStrong.
