Country music’s truest songbird is not only unafraid to tackle songs with challenges, but she is also one of the few singers in the world to truly be able to master them.


Back in 2001, only a little more than a month after the attacks of 9/11, she stepped to the mic and delivered a stunning rendition of “America The Beautiful” and what better woman to do it. After all, Martina is absolutely beautiful and everything it means to be a true American — honest, sincere, courageous, hard-working and has immense love for God and family.

Patriotism has long been a prideful thing in America but even more so since the attacks of 9/11. It was then that the country banded together in ways we hadn’t seen since the end of World War II.

Now, as American pride is stronger than ever, and it just might be time to put this gem of a performance on repeat.
