A little piece of Blake Shelton’s family history in Oklahoma is on the market. His mother, Dorothy, is selling the family home in Ada, Oklahoma, and photos of the place have just been posted on Realtor.com.
The three-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom house features an updated kitchen and a wraparound porch. It’s a pretty typical home until you get to the specially built “rustic room,” which features reclaimed barn wood, along with a shingled roof and an outhouse door. According to the home’s listing agent, that room was specially built for Blake’s mom.
The home has been rented out for the past few years since Dorothy reportedly moved to the Lake Texoma area. The house in Ada is now on sale for a very reasonable $250,000. Not bad for bragging rights on owning a piece of Blake Shelton’s history!
When he’s not in Los Angeles coaching on NBC’s “The Voice,” Blake still spends time at his place in Tishomingo, Oklahoma. He’ll soon open his Ole Red entertainment venue in downtown Tishomingo. Another location of Ole Red will open on Nashville’s Lower Broadway in 2018.
