You can’t help your DNA. And for hot country sensation Thomas Rhett, that’s a darn good thing! Although his superstar genetics aren’t the only reason we love this crazy talented and super sweet southern gent, we’re going to start there with this special Rare Country’s 5 look at this handsome performer, husband and dad.

Yep, if you didn’t already know it — and we’re betting you did — Thomas Rhett’s father was one of the hottest country stars in the ’90s. With hits like “That Ain’t My Truck” and “She Said Yes,” Rhett Akins didn’t just score some country hits, he established himself as a formidable force in Nashville’s songwriting community, and is now one of country music’s most prolific pens.

Of course, Thomas Rhett can’t credit all of his success on his famous daddy. T-Rhett has carved his own way in the music business, defining his own style of country music, but still honoring the groundwork dad Rhett laid. Heck, the pair often write together, and Thomas’ famous pops has joined him stage many times.

Another one of the things we love the most about Thomas Rhett has little to do with him as an entertainer. He has melted our hearts with his passionate love for wife Lauren. But since the adoption of Willa Gray earlier this year and the impending arrival of their second daughter, we have marveled at what a warm, loving and nurturing father Thomas is proving to be.
