They have been one of the most polarizing acts in country music since their start, but they’re also one of the most successful duos in country music history. And their career progression since the release of their debut national single, “Cruise,” has been nothing short of inspired.
While Florida Georgia Line was often chastised as the leaders of the “bro-country” movement, they were simultaneously building a legion of loyal fans who loved their lyrics and frat boy party grooves. But life and time happen, and Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley have gotten a few years older, tied the knot with their beautiful wives, are homeowners, entrepreneurs and have become mature, gracious and successful men.
One thing that hasn’t changed, though, is Brian and Tyler’s desire to serve their fans and earn a few new ones on that way, which they do handily with high-energy live shows and the release of compelling tunes like “Confession,” “H.O.L.Y.” and “May We All.”
We’re excited to see where FGL is going next, but we may not be as excited as T-Hubbs and BK are. The pair is taking a working vacation to where they say it all started — the Emerald Coast.
In a series of photos shared on the band’s social media page, Brian and Tyler reveal photos of them enjoying the Florida shore biking along the boardwalk adjacent to the shoreline.
They even got in some decent cardio hiking through 30A’s Grayton Beach State Park.
But they’re also getting down to business. A sweet picture of the pair shows them with guitars in hand, picking and “plotting out 2017” while they enjoy the coastal breezes.
With the graceful evolution Florida Georgia Line has shown us so far, we’re eager to see the results of their plans.
Enjoy your trip, fellas! Bring back some more hits.
