Who doesn’t want the thrill of hearing two of their favorite country stars come together for one amazing vocal collaboration? We sure do, and while we have a list of possibilities, one of them could be about to happen. Luke Bryan has revealed that he could have a duet with a female star on his upcoming new album.

Luke was a bit evasive when the radio show “Taste of Country Nights” asked about any duets on the new project, but when they nudged him a bit and asked if it would be male or female, he did say “female.” That sounds like a confirmation to us!

Now, Luke has already had duets with Little Big Town’s Karen Fairchild (“Home Alone Tonight”) and singer-songwriter Ashton Shepherd (“Tailgate Blues”), but there are plenty more great women in country music that would make sense.

Perhaps Carrie Underwood? Lady Antebellum’s Hillary Scott? Shania Twain?

When TOC shared the tease on their Twitter page, fans were quick to weigh in, and all of those lovely ladies were suggested. But it looks like Carrie is taking the lead in fan speculation … at least for the moment.

We can see that. Maybe because we already have. When Luke appeared in Nashville this spring, one of his special guests was Carrie, and they did make beautiful music together.

Don’t get too anxious yet, y’all. We may not know for a little while yet. No release date has been announced for the album, so unless we get a little more of a tease, or better yet a full track listing, we’ll just have to wait until it comes out.
