Say what you will about Dixie Chicks’ Natalie Maines — the girl is one tough cookie. And she showed off that toughness recently when she had a bit of a run-in with a cabinet door.

It all began with a pic she posted on Oct. 10 showing off a fresh new shiner on her eye. “My face met the edge of a cabinet door,” she told her fans. “It’s a look.”

Later that same day, the country singer shared another pic of her new injury, asking fans if it was improving. “Looking better right?” she wrote. “Almost like it never even happened.”

And by the end of the day, Natalie had to take a pic of the piece of cabinetry that was the culprit of the scary-looking injury. “This is a picture of the culprit that slammed me in the face,” she wrote. “He thought he was going to get me again tonight, but … not so fast, mister. Slam me in the face once, shame on me. Slam me in the face twice, shame on me again. But I’ll just rip your ass right off your hinges and be done, so don’t even think about it.”

And that’s why you don’t screw with Natalie.
