If you thought that teenage photo of himself Brett Eldredge recent shared on his socials was jaw dropping, just look at this bowl cut on Dale Earnhardt Jr.
The singer celebrated his 43rd birthday on Oct. 10, but we are the ones who got the best gift: this hilarious, yet adorable throwback picture of a young Dale that could easily be from a portrait session for school or church.
What a total doll.
Judging by the perfect little suit he’s wearing, collar and all, we’re going to guess this photo is from the 1970s, though Junior doesn’t go into any specific details.
And we can’t help but see his late father, the great Dale Earnhardt, in those eyes.
His dad would no doubt be so proud of him and the career he’s built, always doing his very best to uphold his family’s multigenerational NASCAR legacy.
We were sad to see Junior announce his retirement from NASCAR back in April, but what a career it has been. From his early Busch Series days in the late ’90s, to his Winston Cup Series debut in 2000 to 17 years as the fan-favorite in the entire series, Dale Earnhardt, Jr. has truly embodied the spirit of NASCAR.
If anyone deserves some time to sit back and enjoy the ride, it’s Junior.
Happy belated birthday, No. 88.
