Here at Rare Country, we get really excited to discover new talent, and that’s exactly what we’ve found with Florida native Bryce Mauldin.
He just turned 20 this past March, but Bryce’s voice sounds mature way beyond his years on this John Michael Montgomery classic, “I Can Love You Like That.”
Singing just a verse and chorus of the romantic ballad, Bryce earnestly pours his heart out with this powerful vocal performance. It’s even more impressive when you realize this song is actually two years older than Bryce.
John Michael Montgomery scored a No. 1 country hit with “I Can Love You Like That” in 1995. The song was such a smash, it also became a pop hit for vocal group All-4-One, which had previously scored a pop chart-topper with a cover of John Michael’s 1994 hit, “I Swear.”
Bryce’s version of “I Can Love You Like That” is bringing the song to a whole new generation. So far, this video has been viewed more than 5.4 million times since he posted it to Facebook on June 14.
