Carrie Underwood may be a big-time country music artist today, but she just proved she could have shined as a star in any decade.
The 34-year-old singer posted a cute video on Instagram July 15. The clip showcases Carrie and her husband, Mike Fisher, as well as her best friend Ivey Childers and Ivey’s husband, Mark (Carrie’s bass player), getting down to a disco beat.
Together, the group ventured off to the bridal shower of Carrie’s stylist’s daughter, while decked out in ’70s fashion wear!
“What is happening?” Carrie captioned the video, which features her clad in oversized shades and a choker with a dark lip hue. The camera then pans to her pal, Ivey, who sports a glamorous Afro wig, while dancing in her seat to Chic’s 1979 hit “Good Times.”
As for Ivey’s husband, he dons a newsboy cap and dark sunglasses, while Mike, who chauffeurs the clan, sports long hair and a trucker hat. It’s unclear who the four some were trying to be with their outfits, but fans seemed to agree on Mike’s striking resemblance to an earlier version of Billy Ray Cyrus.
“How did u get Billy Ray to drive you??” One fan wrote, while another added, “I thought that was totally Billy Ray.”
So, who do you think pulled off the best ’70s look? We’d love to hear your thoughts!
