Garth Brooks shared a magical moment with one couple during his July 21 tour stop at the Forum in Inglewood, California.

Married couple Wesley and Katy Hansen, who are expecting their first child, wanted the country superstar to help them reveal the gender of their unborn baby. So, they held up a sign that said, “Working on a full house. Girl or Boy?”

When Garth noticed the couple’s poster, he told them to come toward the stage. The expecting duo made their way to the front and handed him a sealed envelope containing the baby’s sex.

“You don’t know, and it’s in here?” Garth asked, as he took the envelope from Katy. To his surprise, the couple appeared to promise that they’d name their baby Brooks no matter the outcome.

“All of the sudden I’m nervous,” Garth — a father of three — exclaimed. He then started to get teary-eyed when he opened up the envelope and realized the two are going to be having a baby girl.

“I’ve got to tell you that I’m extremely happy for you because I have three of these,” he said. Then, dispensing a bit of parenting advice for when the couple’s child gets older, he said, “Now you tell them that they don’t need some stinking boy to tell them how cool they are.”

Then came a blockbuster announcement that stunned the couple. “We’ll make a deal,” Garth said. “If I am still alive when Brooks goes to college, we’ll pay for her college.”

Congratulations to the parents-to-be!
