“I’m not at the track,” Sherry Pollex wrote in a sad-sounding tweet on July 16. “I’m at home watching on TV.”

Of course, anyone who knows Martin and Sherry’s story knows full well that she wished she could be at the track cheering on her man. However, a recent development in her ongoing cancer battle has her down for the time being.

“Yes, six more rounds of chemo as soon as my body heals,” she confirmed to a fan in a July 14 tweet.

“I feel pretty good,” she added. “Just sore from the surgery. But it gets better every day. Thank you for asking.”

NASCAR fans will recall that Sherry was first diagnosed with ovarian cancer back in 2014. Ever since then, Sherry has been raised up by countless NASCAR family members, friends and fans who have offered prayers throughout her battle, which she remains determined to not only fight, but beat.
