From the very beginning, the country duo known as Megan & Liz have been open to sharing both their personal and professional lives with their huge social media fan base. So, it’s no surprise that Liz Mace shared one of her biggest pieces of news with her fans recently.

“There, at the top of the world — we decided to be each other’s for ever and ever,” Liz wrote on her Instagram page on Dec. 10. “We’re ENGAGED.”

“I can’t wait to spend my life with you,” Liz’ new fiancé, Weston Amick, added in a Dec. 10 Instagram post. “SHE SAID YES! 💍”

Later the same day, Liz still could not believe that she was now an engaged woman. “Just landed in Nashville and it doesn’t feel real,” wrote Liz, who, alongside her fraternal twin sister and duo partner Megan, was born and raised in Michigan. “Sorry/not sorry for another engagement pic,” she added.

Not only was the engagement a huge moment for Liz, but also for Megan. Together, the twins have created one of social media’s biggest success stories, as the two have used a mix of music and beauty content to gather a following of more than a million subscribers and more than 240 million video views on their YouTube channel. Back in 2015, Megan & Liz were nominated alongside country artists such as Luke Bryan, Florida Georgia Line, Carrie Underwood, Hunter Hayes and Sam Hunt at the Teen Choice Awards in the “Choice Country Song” category for their tune, “That Ghost.” So it comes to no surprise that Megan used the occasion to speak about the special relationship the two have shared throughout their lives.

“My sister is getting married and I’m getting a brother,” Megan wrote. “So much love ❤️ (If I’m not the maid of honor I’ll be v. mad.) I can’t not post this because, of course, you’re going to ugly cry SO HARD when this happens! we’ve talked about this day since we knew what it was, and I’m so happy that Liz met and gets to marry the man of her dreams. What a magical weekend. 💍 ❤️ (Also, stay tuned because I vlogged THE WHOLE THING.)”

Country music’s latest romantic news is just one of the many that made 2017 such an incredible year. From engagements, to marriages to babies, the year has been quite a busy one in the love department for so many in the country music industry.

We wish Liz and Weston all the best as they embark on one of life’s most amazing journeys. Enjoy every moment!
