A pair of newlyweds in Louisiana just got the shock of a lifetime from country superstars Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood.

Jude and Jamie Blanchard were in the audience for opening night of Garth’s five-show run in Lafayette, Louisiana, a few weeks ago. The concert took place just one week before their wedding, so the couple took a sign that read, “Best week ever: Garth this Friday, our wedding next Friday.”

Garth saw the sign and dedicated his performance of “To Make You Feel My Love” to the couple. He then had Jamie hand up one of their wedding invitations so Garth and Trisha could send them a present from their wedding registry.

But then, according to the “Lafayette Daily Advertiser,” Garth and Trisha really went all out. The newlyweds tells the local paper they got home this week to find five boxes full of wedding presents from the celebrity couple. The haul includes two lounge chairs, a Kitchen Aid mixer, a Rowenta iron, a meat grinder, a string of industrial patio lights and a few other items.

Jamie says, “It’s a crazy amount of stuff. I don’t know what I thought he was going to send us, but this is just beyond what we were expecting … I’m really humbled.”

The couple hopes to be able to thank Garth in person the next time he comes through their town.
