Granger Smith loves showing off his precious family. The singer’s wife, Amber, and 15-month-old son, River, both appear in his new music video for his current single, “Happens Like That.” To date, all three of Granger’s kids have now made cameos in his music videos through the years. River is the couple’s youngest child.
The new video—directed by award-winning TK McKamy (Florida Georgia Line’s “H.O.L.Y,” Thomas Rhett’s “Die A Happy Man”)—takes fans on a journey through a relationship anchored in love, from the time a couple initially meets to the way they eventually build their life together and start a family.
“This has been the most extensive music videos I’ve done, and we’ve done a lot of them,” Granger says in a press release. “We shot the video in a massive cornfield and a silo, and it gives the video this mysterious tone. TK had a vision that the imagery would be kind of like a memory, and these lightning strikes make time pass through these stages of life and love. It was amazing to have my beautiful wife, Amber, and my son, River, on set.”
“Happens Like That” is the fastest rising single of Granger’s career, and currently sits at No. 44 on the “Billboard” Country Airplay chart. The song is the lead single from his upcoming studio album, slated for release this fall.
