NASCAR driver Kyle Busch has long been known for often letting his fiery temper get the best of him before, during and certainly after races he’s competed in. But during a recent race at Indianapolis Motor Speedway on July 23, it was actually his crew chief that found himself in quite a scuffle.
The incident on pit road actually started on the track, when Kyle and Martin Truex Jr. got into each other on a late-race restart. And while both drivers were able to keep their emotions in check, their teams were definitely hot under the collar, so much so that Kyle’s crew chief, Adam Stevens, confronted Martin’s team right there on pit road.
“What the f**k,” he can be heard saying in the video.
Words were exchanged and things looked this close to getting physical before other crew members came in and calmed the situation down a bit.
Of course, it’s this fire both on and off the track that keeps NASCAR fans always coming back for more. It’s been a tough go for Kyle this year, as he has yet to get a win during the 2017 season thus far.
It will certainly get interesting to see if this quarrel continues as NASCAR heads to Pocono Raceway on July 30 for the Overton’s 400.
