A NASCAR race smack in the middle of the week is always a treat for fans who are more accustomed to the weekend schedule. So when people tuned in to check out the UNOH 200 on the night of August 16, they expected to just see some of the always-competitive NASCAR Camping World Truck Series.

But they ended up getting so much more, courtesy of aspiring country artist Dawn Beyer.

Before the race even started, Dawn took the microphone to sing the national anthem at Bristol Motor Speedway, and soon after, social media exploded with accolades for the fiery rendition of the well-known song.

Dawn seemed to still be on a high over the electric performance on August 17, when she headed to her socials to share her excitement over the performance. “So proud and honored to sing our national anthem every time I am asked, but especially on Bristol Motor Speedway track,” she wrote. ”Thank you all for tuning in and sending good vibes my way! I am nervous and scared to death every single time I sing that song and always will be.”
