As the wife of a NASCAR superstar in the midst of his last season before retirement, Amy Earnhardt gets a number of cool opportunities to do some really cool things.

But this cool thing — well, it just might be the most exciting yet.

“I just found out that I get to drive the pace car on [Sunday] @MartinsvilleSwy,” the wife of Dale Earnhardt Jr. wrote in an Oct. 11 tweet. “Watch out y’all!” She accompanied the post with a funny GIF of Brad Pitt dancing.

Indeed, Amy will take the steering wheel as the Honorary Pace Car Driver on Sunday, Oct. 29 when her hubby will climb into his race car for the last time to take his final spin in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series at Martinsville Speedway.

“I was very excited when the track approached me about driving the pace car,” Amy said in a recent interview. “Martinsville is one of Dale’s favorite tracks, and seeing how happy he and the team were in Victory Lane in 2014 is something I’ll never forget. I appreciate the track letting me be a small part of Dale’s last race at a place that means so much to him.”

And Dale? Well he can’t seem to hold back his excitement either about this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. “She asked me what I thought,” Dale Jr. tweeted out on Oct. 12. “Ya can’t pass on a chance to drive the freakin’ pace car! I’m proud. She’s amazing.”

We agree wholeheartedly, Dale.
