As most hard racers know, it can be difficult to juggle the demands of a full-time life in racing with a family eager for your attention throughout the week.
Jeff Gordon knew this all too well.
Since his retirement from the sport in 2015, however, the NASCAR legend has been enjoying life off the track as he finally gets to enjoy time with his family and friends, particularly wife Ingrid Vandebosch. In fact, the two recently made yet another trip to Asia, and have the pics to prove it.
“Enjoying a beautiful day on #marinabaysingapore prior to #singaporegp2017,” Jeff wrote on his Instagram page alongside a waterside pic of him and Ingrid.
Of course, while the two have taken plenty of much-overdue vacations with their kids, this latest vacation to Singapore and Cambodia looks to be for mommy and daddy only.
Yet, this vacation did have a connection to racing, as Jeff was on hand to check out the Singapore Formula 1 Grand Prix on September 17 and spend some time with some fellow racing legends.
Alongside the photos, he wrote, “27 years ago I received a call at home in Indiana from #sirjackiestewartabout being a F1 [Formula One] driver. Enjoyed a great moment yesterday reminiscing about what might have been.”
