Scotty McCreery is looking forward to spending this Christmas with his fiancée, Gabi Dugal. They’ve spent the holiday together before, but this year will be even more special since they’re planning to make it all official in 2018. The couple plans to split their time between their two families.
Lucky for Scotty, he’s absolutely loves spending time with Gabi’s folks.
He tells Rare Country, “She’s got a great family. They’re all from Louisiana, so they’re crazy, but a good kind of crazy. But yeah, we’ll go spend some time with our families.”
After spending so much time with extended family, Scotty and Gabi like to decompress with a few days alone together.
“We’ll head up to the mountains,” Scotty says. “We always go to the mountains after that and spend three or four days.”
Sounds like Scotty has a great holiday planned, and he needs to get all the rest and relaxation he can before 2018 kicks off. On top of his upcoming wedding, Scotty is gearing up to release his first album in five years. “Seasons Change” will be out March 16 featuring Scotty’s top 15 country hit, “Five More Minutes.” You can now pre-order the album at ScottyMcCreery.com.
Putting that project together was a highly personal task for Scotty. He co-wrote every song on the album and says it chronicles all the life changes he’s gone through in the past five years. Since he was just 19 years old when he released his last album, you can bet Scotty has a lot to say now as a newly-engaged, 24-year-old man.
He says, “I have grown from a teenager to a man, moved out on my own, lost my grandfather, proposed to the love of my life, and learned more about myself than I could have imagined. This all shows up in the 11 songs on ‘Seasons Change,’ and I cannot wait to share this music with my fans after such a long time between releases.”
We know this new album will be worth the wait, Scotty!
While we wait for Scotty’s new album to arrive, don’t forget he also has a holiday album you’ll want to fire up while you’re opening presents and spending time with loved ones. “Christmas with Scotty McCreery” features his take on classic songs like “Winter Wonderland” and “The First Noel,” as well as the sentimental original songs “Christmas Comin’ Round Again” and “Christmas in Heaven.”
