Watching Chris Young’s steamy new video for “Losing Sleep,” you’d think he’d been in love with his female co-star for a long time. It turns out Chris is just a really good actor.

“It’s a video, man!” he tells us with a big laugh. “It’s a video, man! You don’t know each other until you show up!”

Since “Losing Sleep” is all about what happens between a man and a woman when the lights go out, Chris’ friends had a field day just wondering what this video shoot would be like for him.

He says, “Anytime you work on a song like that, like, all of my friends, especially my guy friends, are like, ‘Oh man, looks like a real tough day for you.’ It’s gonna be really hard. The awkward thing is you don’t know that person at all until you get there. And it’s like, ‘Hi, nice to meet you. Now we’re going to make out on TV pretty much all day.'”

Awkwardness aside, Chris is really proud of how the clip turned out. There’s some fantastical images projected onto the walls around them as the video goes on that Chris really hopes fans will notice.

He adds, “So many things in it really that jumped out in their own way from the beginning of the video all the way to the end. Love it.”

If you like the sexy feel of “Losing Sleep,” you’ll love the rest of the album. Chris keeps that romantic vibe going with songs like “Radio and the Rain,” “Trouble Looking,” “Leave Me Wanting More,” “Woke Up Like This,” Holiday” and “Hangin’ On.”

Of the album’s 10 tracks, Chris did include two sad country songs — “Blacked Out” and “Where I Go When I Drink.” “Losing Sleep,” the album, is now available everywhere.
