Brett Eldredge’s latest hit, “The Long Way,” is all about a guy asking his amazing new girl to show him all the parts of her hometown that shaped the woman she is today. When it came time to make the video, Brett wanted to find a girl who was not only beautiful on the outside, he wanted her to have a sweet spirit, too.

He wanted to find someone like Sadie Robertson.

Brett tells Rare Country, “I saw Sadie’s Instagram posts and her social media, and [she] just kept popping up on my Instagram. She captures everything that this song is about. She’s that girl that everybody loves. She’s got the heart. She’s got the soul. She’s an amazing person.”

Instead of trying to find a young woman like “Duck Dynasty” star Sadie to appear in the video, Brett and his team decided to see if they could actually get Sadie to be Brett’s costar.

He adds, “They called her up, and she was completely in on it. She just did an incredible job, and I got a new friend out of it. She’s awesome.”

“The Long Way” is the latest single from Brett Eldrege’s self-titled third album, available now.
