Country music superstar Chris Stapleton took to the stage at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena with an unforgettable rendition of his song, “Broken Halos” on Nov. 8 at “The 51st Annual CMA Awards.”
During his performance, the 39-year-old vocal powerhouse reminded fans exactly why he has held the prestigious CMA Male Vocalist of the Year title for the last two years, and just won it again Wednesday night!
Chris stood onstage in his signature cowboy hat, armed with his acoustic guitar as he showcased his bluesy, booming voice on the heartbreaking tune. His gorgeous wife, Morgane — showing just the hint of a baby bump after recently revealing news that she is pregnant with twins — was also on hand to contribute her harmony vocals that make these two lovebirds a force to be reckoned with.
“Broken Halos” appears on Chris’ 2017 album “From A Room: Volume 1,” which was released May 5. The album actually won him the night’s CMA trophy for Album of the Year. During his acceptance speech, Chris thanked his wife, two kids and the babies on the way for everything that they’ve been a part of.
Aside from winning Album of the Year, Chris also earned a CMA win for Male Vocalist of the Year – his third consecutive nod in the category. He was also up for the awards’ biggest trophy of the night, Entertainer of the Year. Watch the video above to see Chris perform “Broken Halos.”
